Description
This huge heirloom variety produces beefsteak shaped fruit (up to 1.5 kg; average 1.1 kgs) that consistently wins taste-tests. These plants will grow to 2-3m and are indeterminate, meaning they set fruit continuously throughout the growing season.
The variety was developed in the 1930’s by a gardener who planted the four biggest varieties he knew and crossed one with pollen from the other three. He did this for six seasons and created a variety that produced immensely tasty fruit.
